So many short sale properties in Capecoral florida. Does the banks really give them away at asking price?
It seems to me that their are more short sale listings then regular listings. Does anyone know if they really go for what they are listed? Take for instance, a $45,000 home that is a short sale, yea i know it takes for ever and short sales are a pain but having so many of them and such a short market of buyers, do you think the odds of getting them for asking are in my favor? thanks
Most lenders, especially in states that don't allow deficiency judgements, are not going to accept a drastically lower sales price. He house for sale for $45k may very well be worth...$45k. The thing is, banks have no incentive to agree to a short sale-they do not own the property so it is not sitting in their inventory so, if it takes the owner 1 year to find someone to sell it to for a reasonable amount-it is no skin off the mortgage company's nose as long as the pay,ents are being made.
